Damian Hinds was first elected in 2010 and was re-elected in May 2015 and again in June 2017 and December 2019.  He was re-elected as MP for East Hampshire in the July 4 2024 election. 

The East Hampshire parliamentary constituency includes Alton, Petersfield and the surrounding villages.
