National

The Government has announced that the eligibility date for the Job Retention Scheme has been extended to 19 March 2020.

The Government has published its adult social care action plan.

The advice for UK visa applicants and temporary UK residents has been updated.

The Home Office has published advice to help parents and carers to keep children safe online during the outbreak.

 

Local

HCC has donated £250,000 towards the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation’s new ‘We’re All Together’ Fund. Grants are available online at www.hiwcf.com/grants. Those wishing to also donate to the fund can do so via the Virgin Money Giving page

HCC is reminding residents that it is not permitted to fly sky lanterns on County Council owned land, and recommends that people find an alternative and safer way to show their support for NHS staff during the proposed Night Sky Lantern launch on Sunday.
