National

The online portal for the Job Retention Scheme opens today and HMRC has published guidance for employers. The scheme has now been extended until the end of June

The DHSC has announced that access to testing with be extended across England to include additional frontline workers who are symptomatic, as well as members of their households

The National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) has published a practical guide on ‘reasonable excuses’ to leave the place where you live.

The Office of the Public Guardian has published new guidance which includes advice on lasting power of attorney (LPA).

The Food Standards Agency has issued guidance on maintaining good food hygiene during the outbreak.

East Hampshire District Council has paid out more than £17.7million in grants to 1,400 businesses, around 600 businesses have yet to claim. For more information and access to the form: www.easthants.gov.uk/coronavirus-business-support

Parents of children starting school in September 2020 are advised to wait to be contacted by the school about how to present their proof of address and children’s birth certificate. Press release published online.

The Hampshire PCC has launched a £25,000 Covid-19 Keeping Communities Safer Fund, so existing voluntary groups, parish and town councils, schools, and informal community groups established in direct response to COVID-19 can apply for grants of £500 to support initiatives that are helping people stay safe.

The Government has announced that it will be easier for bus and lorry drivers to renew their expiring driving licences.
