National

The Government has expanded the eligibility for testing, which now includes anyone with symptoms who is either over 65 or whose work cannot be done from home (for example, construction workers, shop workers, emergency plumbers and delivery drivers) and those who live with them 

The Government has issued up-dated information for those who are clinically extremely vulnerable

DEFRA has issued guidance for seasonal working on farms, including the requirements for seasonal and furloughed workers – covering information on finding a seasonal job and staying safe at work

The Home Office has issued guidance for visa applicants and temporary UK residents to include information on what to do if your 30 day visa to travel to the UK for work, study or to join family, has expired or is about to expire

HM Courts & Tribunals Service is starting to use new video technology to support remote hearings in criminal courts

 

Local

Hampshire County Council continues to work on plans re-open recycling facilities as soon as the national restrictions are lifted, and have stressed that the service should then only be used when it is absolutely essential. There is likely to be limits on the number people and vehicles on site; changes to opening hours to allow site cleaning at the start and end of the day and changes to site layout and some site operations to enable social distancing to be maintained by both site users and site staff

Hampshire County Council’s Music Service have produced a musical tribute to mark Captain Tom Moore's 100th birthday  – with 84 contributors recording their part, individually, at home. ‘Happy Birthday Captain Tom’  can be viewed on the Hampshire Music Service Facebook page

The Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association has published a guide to explain what happens to workplace pensions under a range of circumstances brought about by the Covid-19 virus and provides tips to savers
