will have natural human empathy, a very strong public service ethic, and the highest standards of personal integrity
will be comfortable working solo for extended periods, and working in a dispersed team with colleagues based in the constituency
will be self-motivated, well organised and able to prioritise a diverse (and sometimes dauntingly full) inbox
will be highly proficient at MS Outlook and MS Word, have a faultless standard of written English and be used to record keeping and running administrative systems
will be interested in politics and current affairs
is likely to have at least two years’ experience of working in Parliament or another setting involving correspondence with and casework for members of the public, and interaction with government departments and public sector agencies.
The salary will be within the pay scale set by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority for an Office Manager, and according to experience.
