Damian opened the fourth East Hampshire Dementia Festival in the Festival Hall in Petersfield. Speaking at the time, Damian said: "It's an honour to be asked to formally open today's festival. Inspired by the late Jeff Williams, who did so much to spread awareness of all that can be done to support people living with the condition, the event is a celebration of all those that do, and a helpful information source for families. It's great to see Dementia Friendly Alton, Dementia Friendly Petersfield, and 30 other organisations represented, not to mention the wonderful Dementia Choir".
