Damian has received information from Network Rail on the upgrade work due to take place at Waterloo between 5 - 28th August this year.
The work to deliver additional capacity at Waterloo means that platforms 1- 9 will be closed between these dates, so significantly fewer trains will run across the South Western rail network during this time. Dear Mr Hinds,
New passenger information has just been made available, including a leaflet, and more information will be available on the SWT website.
Further information on the weekday train services to and from Waterloo from key stations in East Hampshire is outlined below:
- Liphook:
- Morning peak - 2 current trains per hour to and from Waterloo; 2 trains per hour between 5-28 August 2017 (excluding 25 August) (no change).
- Evening peak - 2 current trains per hour to and from Waterloo; 1 train per hour between 5-28 August 2017 (excluding 25 August).
- Off peak – 1 current train per hour to and from Waterloo; 1 train per hour between 5-28 August 2017 (excluding 25 August) (no change).
- Liss:
- Morning peak - 2 current trains per hour to and from Waterloo; 2 trains per hour between 5-28 August 2017 (excluding 25 August) (no change).
- Evening peak - 2 current trains per hour to and from Waterloo; 1 train per hour between 5-28 August 2017 (excluding 25 August).
- Off peak – 1 current train per hour to and from Waterloo; 1 train per hour between 5-28 August 2017 (excluding 25 August) (no change).
- Petersfield:
- Morning peak - 4 current trains per hour to and from Waterloo; 4 trains per hour between 5-28 August 2017 (excluding 25 August) (no change).
- Evening peak - 4 current trains per hour to and from Waterloo; 3 trains per hour between 5-28 August 2017 (excluding 25 August).
- Off peak – 3 current train per hour to and from Waterloo; 2 trains per hour between 5-28 August 2017 (excluding 25 August).
- There will be no changes to services at Alton and Bentley stations.
During the works at Waterloo in August 2017 platforms 20-24 in the former Waterloo International Terminal will be temporarily re-opened to provide increased capacity at the station when platforms 1-9 are closed.
