The latest employment numbers from the Office for National Statistics show that the rate of unemployment remains at 4.3% - the lowest since 1975 - and the employment is now at 75.3%, which is a joint record high.
Commenting on the numbers, Damian said:
“At least 10 employment records were broken in 2017 – the employment rate, the number of people in work, the number of women in work, and black and minority ethnic employment all reached record highs.
“And with the number of workers aged over 50 having reached 10 million, the figures are encouraging.”
