National

The Government is encouraging all eligible children to attend educational settings even if parents are able to keep their children at home

There is updated guidance on applying for support through the Self Employment Income Support Scheme

The Chancellor has announced that the job retention scheme will now operate until the end of October

New guidance has been issued on how holiday entitlement and pay operate during the pandemic

The Government has updated guidance for local authorities on business support grant funding, including the Local Authority Discretionary Fund

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has revised the guidance on home moving. In addition, a ‘Safe Working Charter’ has been launched by the Government and the Home Builders Federation, enabling builders to return to work safely

Serving personnel, veterans and their families will benefit from an additional £6 million of new funding, in addition to the £10 million the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust received in the budget, and follows the recent launch of  two platforms - Veterans’ Gateway and HeadFIT

 

Local

The car parks of Hampshire’s country parks reopened on Wednesday.  Normal parking charges will apply, and toilets will be open.  However, cafés, shops, visitor centres and play areas will remain closed until further notice

East Hampshire District Council has restarted the collection of bulk waste has restarted, although limited booking will be available, with a review taking place on a fortnightly basis. Bulky waste bookings can be made by calling 01730 234295. For more information visit

The Environment Agency has confirmed that restrictions on angling are eased from this week (13 May)  The Angling Trust have issued additional advice which can be found on their online hub
