Damian recently visited a constituent to see how an innovative heat battery is providing a practical alternative to a gas boiler. The homeowner in Farrington had replaced their gas boiler with a tepeo zero emission boiler, which charges using off-peak electricity and stores the energy for us when needed, helping to reduce carbon emissions and lower energy bills.
After the meeting Damian said:
“Heat batteries look like they can be a significant part of the future home energy landscape. There is no substitute for seeing new things first hand and I was grateful for the opportunity to find out more about heat batteries and the role they play, especially for those homes that cannot, for various reasons, have a heat pump. It’s always encouraging to see innovation in this area, when it has the potential to reduce energy use and cut emissions.”
