E-petition debate on VAT on independent school fees

Damian spoke at the e-petition debate on the imposition of VAT on independent school fees and the impact of business rates relief on these schools. 

Speaking at the time, Damian said: "Over 600 East Hampshire residents signed the petition to Parliament against the imposition of VAT on education.  In the debate i reiterated the adverse effects for both independent and state schools.  I asked the minister to change course if - as i fear likely - the effects are worse that the government thinks.
